Taste in music..

When people ask what kind of taste in music you have, what should one say?

I usually just say “oh, it varies”, “depends on the mood” or something totally different that still implies to the fact that I HAVE NO IDEA.. What is my taste in music? My AS-profile is saying “oh you’re clearly a completely fucked up metalhead”, though, I listen to a whole lot more music than what’s listed here. My mp3-player is usually loaded with some new liveset and a metal-album, my laptop (which usually is off the internet) is mostly playing some nice trance-record and my stereo most often plays The Offspring – Americana or some other punk record. What should one say if someone is demanding an answer?
